Circle W Sports Launches Showcase Affiliate Program to Support Student-Athletes and Athletic Organizations

WELLSBORO, PA - Circle W Sports is expanding the reach of Showcase with the launch of the Showcase Affiliate Program, a new initiative designed to help athletic organizations provide student-athletes and families with access to Showcase while creating an additional opportunity to generate financial support for their programs.

The Showcase Affiliate Program is open to booster clubs, athletic organizations, sports clubs, training programs and other organizations that work directly with student-athletes.

Through the program, participating organizations receive their own dedicated Showcase affiliate link and QR code that can be shared with athletes and families in their community.

Student-athletes can use that link to create a basic Showcase profile at no cost, giving them a starting point to establish their presence on the platform. Families who want to build a more complete digital record of an athlete's career can choose from Showcase's optional premium membership levels.

Eligible premium memberships purchased through an organization's affiliate program generate revenue for that organization, creating a program designed to benefit both individual athletes and the organizations supporting them.

"We built the Showcase Affiliate Program around a pretty simple idea: if we're going to help student-athletes, we should also find a way to help the organizations that are supporting those athletes every day," said Ed Weaver, founder and owner of Circle W Sports. "Booster clubs, athletic programs, coaches and other organizations put an incredible amount of time and resources into their athletes. Showcase gives them something valuable they can provide to their families while creating another potential source of support for their organization."

Showcase gives student-athletes a central digital home for their athletic careers.

Depending on the membership level selected, athletes can build their profiles with accomplishments, photos, videos, statistics, records, workouts, milestones and other information as their careers develop.

Each profile can be shared through a personalized link and QR code, making it easy for athletes to share their accomplishments with college coaches, recruiters, family members, fans and their communities.

For student-athletes hoping to compete at the collegiate level, Showcase can also become part of the recruiting process by giving them one location to organize and share information about their athletic and academic careers.

But recruiting is only one part of the platform.

"Not every high school athlete is going to compete in college, and they don't have to," Weaver said. "Every athlete has a story worth preserving. We want Showcase to become a digital scrapbook of their athletic career — something they can build over the years, share today and still look back on long after they've played their final game."

Showcase affiliates can also connect their student-athletes and families with Circle W Sports' Athlete Assessment, a resource designed to help families better understand where they currently stand and identify potential next steps.

The assessment considers areas including athletic profile development, recruiting readiness and college planning readiness.

The goal is to help families answer a question that becomes increasingly important as athletes progress through high school: "What should we be doing right now?"

Rather than treating every athlete's path the same, the Athlete Assessment helps identify areas that may deserve additional attention based on where the athlete currently is in his or her high school career.

A key component of the Showcase Affiliate Program is giving participating organizations another way to support their own programs.

There is no cost for an organization to become a Showcase Affiliate. Circle W Sports provides participating affiliates with a dedicated link and QR code they can distribute through their website, social media, email, printed materials and other communication channels.

When eligible families purchase premium Showcase memberships through the affiliate's dedicated link, a portion of that revenue is returned to the participating organization.

"We don't want this to feel like another traditional fundraiser where families are simply being asked to buy something," Weaver said. "We want the athlete to receive something genuinely useful in return. They're building a record of their career, gaining tools they can use for recruiting and exposure, and at the same time helping support an organization that's investing in them."

The program is designed to grow alongside Showcase, giving Circle W Sports and its affiliates additional opportunities to provide resources, education and services to student-athletes and their families.

There is no credit card required for a student-athlete to create a basic Showcase profile.
