Weaver named to National Football Foundation Twin Tiers Chapter inaugural board
November 10, 2020Wellsboro, PA - Circle W Sports owner/founder Ed Weaver was named to the inaugural board of directors of the Twin Tiers Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Founded in 1947 with early leadership from General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl "Red" Blaik and immortal journalist Grantland Rice, the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing scholarship, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people. Their mission is to promote and develop the power of amateur football in developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and the drive for academic excellence in America's young people.
"Football has been a big part of my life," said Weaver. "The sport has taught me many valuable life lessons that I still use in my every day life and I am forever grateful to my former coaches that pushed me to be a better player and person. Being a member of the inaugural board not only deepens my love for the sport but will also allow me to continue to give back, advance, and promote the game I love. Our first product at Circle W Sports was football-focused and we have since continued to expand upon that line, offering coaches an easier way to track statistical data using our StatTracker program and helping various football coaches associations with their combines through our PerformanceTracker app."
Weaver not only runs the day-to-day operations at Circle W Sports and is the lead product designer and developer, but he is also the Sports Director at The Home Page Network, writes and provides data for PA Football News, and is a former athletic director and high school football coach.
