Circle W Sports and PA Football News become Official Stat Partners of Big 33 and PSFCA East/West All-Star Games

January 1, 2019

Wellsboro, PA - Circle W Sports, the new name in the game for High School sports, and PA Football News are proud to announce a new partnership with the PSFCA East/West and Big 33 All-Star games as the official statistical providers.

Circle W Sports, LLC is an online service that provides a platform for high school teams and sports organizations to promote coaches, programs, and student-athletes. With the use of its new StatTracker platform, Circle W Sports will provide live scoring and statistics for both all-star games, along with integrating past game data and records while making information easier to find about the teams, coaches, and cheerleaders.

Since 1997, Pennsylvania Football News covers high school football in the Keystone State. Although it started as a newspaper by Tom Elling and Rich Vetock, the PFN website is now the main source for all content including state rankings, all-star teams, recruiting, game coverage, news and other facts and figures revolving around football in the state.

In June of 2018, Billy Splain, owner of WesternPAFootball.net, took over PFN and grew it where it is today. Billy has covered multiple Big 33 and East/West All-Star games for WesternPAFootball.net and has kept game statistics for the past two years.

"This is a great opportunity for football in Pennsylvania and Maryland and for the athletes participating in the game," Splain said. "Through our sites we've been tracking and promoting football in the state from scrimmages all the way through the state championships. To continue that with the two biggest All-Star games in the state further enhances our coverage."

The mission of the PSFCA-Big 33 is to help maintain the highest possible standards and improve the conditions of Pennsylvania football and the football coaching profession. By understanding potential tribulations and resolving together, sources of football related information will be at the disposal of coaches and proper organizations.

"We are pleased to have Circle W Sports as our game statistician for the Big 33 and PSFCA East/West game," said PSFCA Executive Director Garry Cathell. "It's comforting to know that we have a professional stat keeping company taking care of us. It's very important to have information from past games and Circle W Sports' archives are a safe place to keep them. We look forward to having Circle W Sports take care of this aspect of the games in the future as well as this year."

Circle W Sports found its beginnings in 2006 when owner Ed Weaver launched WellsboroFootball.com, the flagship website promoting the Wellsboro Hornet Football team. The organization provides the latest up-to-date scores, statistics, and coverage in this region. Since 2006, WellsboroFootball.com has recorded over a half million page views and has spawned other websites including WellsboroAthletics.com, WellsboroBaseball.com, WellsboroBasketball.com, WellsboroXC.com, WellsboroGolf.com, WellsboroSoccer.com, WellsboroSoftball.com, and WellsboroSwimming.com. Each website provides player information, rosters, schedules, statistics, and history about each Wellsboro team.

Circle W Sports also runs and manages websites for PIAA District IV, the Northern Tier League, the Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame, Vaportrail 24/7, and the PIAA District 4 Football Coaches Association, provides statistical data to Pennsylvania Football News, WesternPAFootball.net, EasternPAFootball.com, Home Page Sports, Fox Sports Williamsport, and the Valley Sports Report, and has launched websites for Athens Foootball, Loyalsock Football, Southern Columbia Football, and Selinsgrove Football.

"Circle W Sports continues to grow and we can't wait to showcase our StatTracker platform this coming summer as both the PSFCA East/West and Big 33 All-Star games," said Circle W Sports owner Ed Weaver. "When we attended last year's Big 33 game we immediately recognized a need to digitally track game statistics and records to make it easier for fans and the media to get information in-game as well as from past games. Through our StatTracker platform we will be able to provide fans watching the game with up-to-date stats from their mobile devices while integrating previous game data onto Big 33's existing website."
