Bigfoot Country to incorporate Circle W Sports data
August 9, 2018Wellsboro, PA - Circle W Sports, Bigfoot Country and WOGA are proud to announce a new data-sharing partnership starting for the 2018-19 athletics year.
Circle W Sports, LLC is an online service that provides a platform for high school teams and sports organizations to promote coaches, programs, and student-athletes. Circle W Sports provides updated Northern Tier League and PIAA District IV standings and scoreboards for the high school sports played in and around Tioga County.
Bigfoot Country started serving all of Tioga County and beyond in 2017, as one of only a few 50,000 watt radio stations in northern Pennsylvania and Southern New York, after Seven Mountains Media purchased WNBT in 2016. Bigfoot Country provides news, weather, local sports and a great mix of new and old Country hits while remaining committed to local sports and Penn State football.
"Being an integral part of the community is incredibly important to us at Bigfoot Country," said Dave Taylor, VP of Creative for Seven Mountains Media. "We have always taken pride in broadcasting local High School sports games but now, thanks to Circle W Sports, we can enhance our broadcasts with updated standings and scorecards. It's a great additional feature for our listeners and the community."
Circle W Sports found its beginnings in 2006 when owner Ed Weaver launched WellsboroFootball.com, the flagship website promoting the Wellsboro Hornet Football team. The organization provides the latest up-to-date scores, statistics, and coverage in this region. Since 2006, WellsboroFootball.com has recorded over a half million page views and has spawned other websites including WellsboroAthletics.com, WellsboroBaseball.com, WellsboroBasketball.com, WellsboroXC.com, WellsboroGolf.com, WellsboroSoccer.com, WellsboroSoftball.com, and WellsboroSwimming.com. Each website provides player information, rosters, schedules, statistics, and history about each Wellsboro team.
Circle W Sports also runs and manages websites for PIAA District IV, the Northern Tier League, the Tioga County Sports Hall of Fameand the PIAA District 4 Football Coaches Association, and provides statistical data to Home Page Sports, Fox Sports Williamsport, and the Valley Sports Report.
"Circle W Sports' mission from day one has been to provide communities with the most reliable and up-to-date athletic information," said owner Ed Weaver. "Incorporating our data into services offered by local media outlets not only enhances our footprint in the community, but also helps those outlets enhance their broadcasts by providing their audience with accurate and reliable information. Having worked with Bigfoot Country since 2016, we are proud to continue our relationship and further enhance it."
